During this special 3 hour workshop at Rowan House, Hethersett you will
- Handmake your own mala string
- Practice 30 minutes of gentle yoga
- Β Learn to meditate using mala beads
- Enjoy Ayurvedic refreshments
The session will begin with you painting and handcrafting your own beautiful 108 mala bead string to take home with you. Mala bead strings are used as a counting tool to facilitate meditation. Meditating through the use of mala beads can bring an instant feeling of calm and make meditation very accessible to all. Rather than just buying a set of mala beads making your own can be a very powerful and mindful experience, like a meditation it itself.
Under the expert instruction of Artist and Teacher, Lisa Henshall, you will paint, thread, knot and create your own gorgeous string. Anne Heigham, Ayurvedic Practitioner and Yoga teacher will educate you about the significance of the mala bead making process itself. She will then guide you through a gentle yoga practice and then teach you how to meditate using mala beads.
The intention of the workshop is to provide you with practical skills that you can take home and incorporate into your daily life bringing you all the benefits of meditation which leads to greater equanimity and harmony. There will be Ayurvedic refreshments during the session too.
