Packed lunches πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹ means back to overcook Packed lunches πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹ means back to overcooking in the evening. I leave the house at 7.30am so I am often time short in the morning meaning the only way I can ensure a tasty lunch is to over cook the night before.

Taking a tasty lunch with me means I feel energised and satiated in the afternoon. I also avoid a mid afternoon slump in energyπŸ”₯πŸ’ͺ

Once a week I treat myself to lunch often from @norwichmarket_life Top right is my favourite falafel wrap from @falafel_and_friends πŸ˜‹ 😍 πŸ‘Œ

With the weather having got a bit better recently I have been enjoying more room temperature lunch boxes and not naturally reaching for my hot flask quite as much. Who knows next week could be back to freezing and the flask will be out again πŸ™ƒπŸ€·πŸ½β€β™€οΈ

Ayurveda understands the correlation between the t Ayurveda understands the correlation between the time of the day and how this influences the functioning of the digestive system. We say that when the sun is highest in the sky our natural optimal digestive functioning is at its best. So when possible lunch ideally should be the largest meal of the day.

We also understand that the seasons influence our digestive functioning too. Deep in the winter our calorific requirement is higher and our digestive system is more primed to be able to support this extra intake. Whereas in the warmer months our appetites naturally are less as we need less calories.

Having this knowledge helps us to make more informed choices as we stay in touch with our environment πŸŒžπŸŒ¨πŸŒ¬β„πŸŒˆβ

The recipes in my new book are laid out in mealtime chapters with an emphasis on lunch to encourage readers to consider shaping their meals to make lunch the largest meal πŸ™πŸΌ Link for my book in my linkin.bio!

Goji, Logan, Tay, Honey, Goose, Cran, Blue berries Goji, Logan, Tay, Honey, Goose, Cran, Blue berries πŸ™ƒ I was only going to plant a few new raspberry canes but all the garden centres I have been to have sold out, so instead I scooped up all the other berries that nobody wanted. Not sure which one I am most excited about.......if I was forced to choose I think it might be Goji as I don't think I have ever had a fresh one.

Gardening is my go to feel good therapy. Digging out in the cold, being in the elements, my hands in the soil, breathing in fresh air and being surrounded by nature. So supportive for my mind, body and soul πŸ’šπŸ€Žβ€

Celebrating spring time πŸ’› Even with it's bonk Celebrating spring time πŸ’›

Even with it's bonkers weather..... Last week we clocked 22 degrees C roll forward to this week and it has been snowing and back to a hat and thick coat.

So my menus changed accordingly. Last week I had started to enjoy some more summery type salads, this weekend however it was back to roasted winter veg, especially roasted butternut squash all sticky with rosemary and garlic. So warming and comforting πŸ˜‹
